At Sobkowich Greenhouses we are proud of our beginnings and where we have grown to today. With over 50 years of growing experience in the Niagara Region, we're the leading choice for high-quality Proven Winners^® plants in Eastern Canada. Ed Sobkowich Greenhouses Ltd. was established in 1964 and has grown from a 3 house seasonal tomato hobby to a 160,000 sq. ft. year round wholesale business. This family run operation is proud to be one of the licensed Canadian propagators of the Proven Winners family of products. Our cuttings come from elite stock sources so we can deliver the quality they deserve and have come to expect.

Sobkowich Greenhouses is a family-run operation started by Ed Sobkowich Senior and his wife Estelle Sobkowich in 1964. Ed Sr was a fruit farmer looking to continue the growing season through the winter. They decided to grow hothouse tomatoes and the first 3 greenhouses were built on their Grimsby property. Around 1972 the business evolved into bedding plants and is now a complete floriculture production farm.

Growing Strong

From germinating seed to encouraging roots on cuttings, we are plant starters. Our primary focus is propagating spring annual young plants to supply the Canadian greenhouse market. As one of 2 licensed Canadian propagators for Proven Winners North America, we provide plants that are unsurpassed in terms of flowering, growth habit, disease resistance, and garden performance. Custom seeding, growing, and wholesale finished Annual Bedding plants to independent garden centres across Ontario helps to round out our seasons.
