Proven Winners is an international team of experts in horticultural plant and brand development, each of whom makes a substantial contribution to our growing program. In North America the founding members came together in 1992 to form the Proven Winners brand around new and innovative annuals plants.

In partnership with one another and a network of international plant breeders and licensees, the founding members provide quality plant material and innovative ideas to support the continued evolution of the Proven Winners brand. Over the years, Proven Winners has expanded across North America and now includes carefully selected license partners who provide high quality, innovative plants in the shrub, perennial, caladium, calla, flower bulb and houseplant markets.

To ensure that gardeners are successful with our plants, our brand also includes self-watering containers, high quality soils and fertilizers and planting augers.

Our unique and versatile Heart to Heart^® Caladiums are supplied by the experts at Abbott-IPCO. Their breeding program has delivered more than 70 new caladium varieties to the market while expanding their use from traditional summer shade color. New varieties now handle full sun, and have thicker leaves making them tougher in the environment. With new looks, colors, patterns, leaf shapes, and environmental tolerances, caladium growers like us we are confident the market will continue to rapidly expand.

Proven Winners^® packaged bulbs are provided by industry leader Garden State Bulb. Flowering bulb collections include carefully created, multi-genus combinations in both spring and fall assortments as well as highly coveted single varieties that will be the focal point of any landscape or home garden. As the leader in the selection, production and distribution of dormant flower bulbs, Garden State Bulb Co. offers a wide variety of Dutch and other international and domestic flower bulbs and perennial varieties to consumers.

Nordic Nurseries (Proven Winners Annuals - Western Canada)

Since 1994, Nordic Nurseries has been serving western Canada with Proven Winners rooted cuttings and garden-ready plants grown in Canada, by Canadian families and employees with a passion for growing the best plants possible. Led by Glenn Andersen, Nordic Nurseries is working with their customers to help make the Proven Winners line more familiar to the general public.

Sobkowich Greenhouses (Proven Winners Annuals - Eastern Canada)

For more than 50 years, Sobkowich Greenhouses has been a family-owned operation focused on excellence. As the supplier of Proven Winners plans in eastern Canada, their primary focus is propagating spring annual young plants to supply the greenhouse market. They provide plants that are unsurpassed in terms of flowering, growth habit, disease resistance and garden performance.

Spring Meadow Nursery (Proven Winners ColorChoice^® Flowering Shrubs)

The ColorChoice^® Flowering Shrubs brand was developed by Spring Meadow Nursery in 1998 to give growers, retailers and consumers access to the best new flowering shrubs. They joined the Proven Winners family in 2004 as the brand licensee for woody plants and shrubs, now offering more than 280 varieties. Sales of ColorChoice plants now exceed 1 million units.

Proven Winners^® leafjoy^® houseplants from The Plant Company are some of the most innovative products and varieties available. Grown in high-tech, eco-friendly greenhouses in Stuarts Draft, Virginia, these retail-ready houseplants are fast becoming consumer favorites.

Walters Gardens (Proven Winners Perennials & Art & Sol^® Mangave)

Our partner for Proven Winners^® perennials and Art & Sol^® Mangave, Walters Gardens is a family-owned operation focused on bare root, potted, and packaged perennials. Walters Gardens is making tremendous progress in modernizing growing technologies, testing for viruses to ensure clean product, hybridizing new varieties, and expanding our marketing program.

Proven Harvest^{^®} by Proven Winners^{^®} vegetable and herb genetics come from Pure Line Seeds, the exclusive licensee in North America. This line of retail-proven plants with strong brand support and merchandising offers improved sell-through and margin potential.

Breeders

The unique and innovative plants in the Proven Winners line are grown from material bred by a network of top international breeders. Every plant that is chosen to become a Proven Winners has passed a lengthy series of tests lasting 2-3 years to trial the varieties for performance in numerous greenhouse and garden performance situations. This is why very few varieties are selected to become Proven Winners!
