    Maintenance Notes:

This easy-care rose defies conventional expectations of what a rose needs to thrive in your landscape. To keep it looking great, simply prune back by at least one third its total height each early spring, just as the new buds begin to emerge on the stems. Make your cut just above a thick, healthy bud, as these produce the most vigorous growth. It can also be fertilized at this time with a granular rose fertilizer.

The plant may be deadheaded if desired, but this is not required for continuous bloom.

    • Have had very good success with our Oso Easy rose purchases (37 total Oso Easy roses) from Proven Winners in the past 3 years. Their product has always arrived in a timely fashion in well packed/designed shipping containers. The At Last rose was planted very close to a recently removed Black Walnut and is blooming nicely in its third season. All of our roses are situated in landscape fabric, cedar mulch, rich organic and well drained soil. All are treated with Bio Advance seasonal 3 in 1 granular rose care product. All watering is aimed at the base with rain setting nozzle to avoid splashing onto the leaves to avoid black spot issues. Also, We religiously spray alcohol on the prunning shears after each use to kill any potential disease transfer. We feel these efforts lends to years of awarded beauty. Note: Zone 6a, Michigan thumb region enjoying 56 total rose plants to date.

    • These roses are everything I want and more! I’ve had 3 of them for a number of years. Two of them were new in 3 gal pots and a third was on markdown because it was struggling some. I don’t like other shrub roses cause they have little fragrance and few petals. Other reviews for this rose have complained that the flowers flop and that’s because of that high petal count. Knock Out roses have 5 petals or just a few more if they’re doubles so they don’t flop. Cut back in the spring to fewer healthy stems and maybe they won’t flop so much either. Love that fragrance!

    • I love proven winners, but this rose is a major fail. I have 5, and all of them are covered in blackspot. Not matter what I spray or how much I prune and toss all the effected leaves into the trash, it always comes back. The branches are so weak too, this is their second season. I have several other roses in my garden that are beautiful dark green and healthy. I will see how they do in the spring, but I’m probably tossing and replacing with a similar color of rose from David Austin. All my David’s are dark dark green, strong branches, and blooming like crazy. All the blooms on the at last fall off as soon as they bloom. I also noticed at last were not touched at our Home Depot, and they were the only roses covered in black spot. I would re-work this one proven winners, I get it works in some areas, but from the looks of the reviews it’s not an easy rose to grow in humid climates.

    • I'm done. 4 summers in and these are coming out. I had planned on planting these right across my front porch since the blooms are so beautiful and fragrant. I've babied them through the winter with protective covers, pruned according to what I've researched online etc. What I'm getting is a very leggy plant, stem "burning", and about 50% of leaves not looking healthy. I have them in an optimal location with "sun". Proven Winners is one of my go-to brands, but this rose did not do well for me. I've transitioned to the Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea that is so far thriving. I'll plant a row this year. Much lower maintenance compared to roses.....

    • Planted two of the gallon size in the fall, am in zone 6b in Pennsylvania, we had a very mild winter this season almost no snow, its 4/16/23 all other perennial have broken the ground and are up. These are no shows. So disappointed, was looking forward to having them in my garden this season. Not sure i want to bother reordering these.

    • I go out of my way to always buy Proven Winners shrubs and annuals. I love Proven winners. As a gardener of over forty years experience, I have to say this is the saddest excuse for a rose I've ever purchased. I've grown dozens of roses. Heirlooms, climbers, hybrid teas, English roses, Knock-outs, etc. I bought this variety a couple years ago from a local nursery when I saw the hype and pictures of the gorgeous peach roses. I'm in zone 5b. I planted this rose in perfect soil and cared for it properly. 1. As many other reviewers have said, the branches are weak and spindly and flop to the ground. 2. There are very few roses. 3. They are not very fragrant. 4. When they do bloom, the petals fall off immediately. 5. It is NOT disease resistant. 6. The plant has ZERO VIGOR! I can not believe PW released this LOSER of a rose to the public. I've never given up on a rose in all these years, but this one is going to be ripped out and put in the compost bin. DEEPLY DISAPPOINTING!

    • The At Last Rose is a big disappointment. Right. now, July 20, my two rose bushes are completely without any blooms or buds. So much for blooming all summer. This is in addition to the fact that the blooms only last a day and many of the branches lay on the ground. My At Last bushes are three years old so they should be in peak performance. NOT A FAN!!
